Greetings Anvil Society,

My name is Duerghaul, Thane (Captain) from the guild Stone and Steel. I am not here in any official capacity, just an overture in its own right. As a Dwarf or Dwarf leaning guild, I would like to call your attention to a new game coming out called Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, which I'm sure some of you might have heard of already. This game is going to feature RvR combat (Realm vs Realm) not unlike Dark Age of Camelot's PvP mechanic. In order for our faction (Order), and more importantly our race (Dwarfs), to win and triumph over the Greenskins of Destruction, we are hoping to drum support from the rest of the Dwarf online community. Your guild, with its experience from past MMORPG's would be a welcomed addition to the front.

This is not an attempt for your members to join Stone and Steel, but an attempt to have your successful guild check out Warhammer Online and consider playing as your own clan. By joining some of the already established Dwarf guilds out there and adopting the same server, I believe that we can create a community of Dwarf players that is not only successful and celebrated in RvR, but also foster camaraderie and fun that will be exciting for all guilds and members involved. This may sound like some silly commercial for Warhammer Online, but it is merely an attempt to bring together the online Dwarf community in a new game that I and my guild are very excited about. Warhammer isn't being released til the first quarter of 2008, so your guild has plenty of time to investigate it and consider playing.

All the best,
Duerghaul Ogredoom

How the hell did you find us?

Edit: Some sort of old alliance I am unaware of?

I first read his name as Morgthulu.

And for a new clan name, how about:

Stone made of Steel

Or just Dark Inquisitor Lads of Death Ornithichnite.

Not that you need a new name or anything.

Simply through a compilation of online Dwarf guilds.

Ah, hello Duerghaul. I remember your guild, a member from it has come by here before talking about a dwarven conglomerate spanning multiple games and communities. This was at least two years ago. After a cursory examination of it, however, we weren't able to participate as our preferred choice of games were extremely PvP-intensive and the vast majority of clans on your list of Dwarven guilds seem content to live in lands filled with fields of flowers, hand holding with Elves, and more importantly worlds where it is impossible for a Dwarf to ever attack said skinnies.

We keep an eye out on virtually all MMORPGs on the market and upcoming. WAR had originally gained some interest from us, but given the turns in development the game took about half way through development we can now see exactly what the game is without playing it: An exact copy of WoW with RvR combat thrown in. Having never mounted the interest or inclination to play WoW as a clan, this of course doesn't appeal to us greatly.

That said, I believe there is a small chance we may wind up playing the game. RvR, of course, is better than no PvP at all. If we do wind up in Warhammer, I would be very interested in contacting your guild in the future about any kind of overarching structure and alliance to a dwarven faction in the game. Currently, there is certainty that we will be playing in the upcoming beta for niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger Online in the next month or two. Depending on how well that game gets off its feet, we'll be making our decision to commit to either it, Warhammer, or Age of Conan. So I'll be sure to stop by if we begin to entertain the idea of playing Warhammer again. The fact that there is a central organization for Dwarves there makes the prospect far more appealing to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my letter. It has always been in our interest to encourage and support a cooperative online gaming environment between the Dwarven inclined gaming guilds.

I too share some of your concerns for WAR and the limits it puts on the parameters for PvP, but like you said, RvR is better than no PvP. WAR just happens to have the most potential for meaningful PvP at the present.

If any of you folks decide to check out WAR in the future, individually or as a guild, we invite you to touch base with Stone and Steel. Our server choice will be made publicly known after release, and we would definitely be interested in having Dwarves as stout as yourselves by our side.

Cheers, and good luck with your future gaming endeavors!

If niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger isn't in beta by the time I get into WAR, then I will definitely check it out. Got to pay some homage, if only for the fact that WAR is the only game/franchise that has really done dwarves right.

T'was just a simple value judgment. Meaningful in the sense that there is alot of lore and history to the pvp of the Warhmmer Universe.

Can you recommend any good fansites? niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger's main site seems to have little in the way of their pvp info.

Here is a database, (http://niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerinfo.com/) but that's the thing with niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger Online! They don't update too often and are very secret about their stuff, that's the reason why it has a vaporware mark on it and why the database info probably is outdated.

So, how's beta in WAR? I signed up a long time ago both as a part of SoTA and as a solo player, but haven't seen an invite so far.

Honestly niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger's close combat looks a bit more messy than M&B's.

niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger's beta period begins in about a month. We'll be making our decision where to go based on its success (or lack thereof).

or do they like trollish people more?

or should I worship the figurine of tasos and claus doing it and then post it on the youpukes?

I'm pretty sure you're banned.the hard way then, I'll travel to Greece and kidnap some minor league dev and take his place, disguised with a fake moustache

and then post a vid of myself worshiping a figurine of claus and tasos doing it on the youpubes

but every game needs a cereal rappist, why should niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger be in lack of them?

Zwnt, anyways, it is kind of weird how Surly is so very sure of himself. I don't know what to make of it.

EDIT: Are you Russian Surly?

We got a few players in it. Guild beta hasn't started, even though Stone and Steel was given slots over a month ago. Guess we're at the mercy of Mythic.

As far as getting into niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger Beta...those forest fires Greece has been having has the fingerprints of fanbois all over them.

Greetings Duerghaul,

I would like to say welcome to our forums, for this is the first time I've had the pleasure of making your acquaintance. Th' name's Bashur, and I'm a member of the Drunken Beggar Clan, and even though I'm not a Dwarf, I'm a member of the Anvil Society. With that, I would like to thank you for the formal, and well written invitation to join you and your fellow Dwarves in a collaboration that is sure to shake the foundation of Warhammer.

As I said, I'm a member of the Drunken Beggar Clan, and am not a Dwarf... alas, if my attention shifts to that of Warhammer (The online verson), I'll be sure to give your crew a heads up. Having a collaboration , or an end all beat all Dwarf clan withen that game is sure to have a massive impact, and I would love to be apart of that. My attention at the moment is in the form of Everquest II, but my longing for PvP has driven me to take a gander at the up-in-coming MMORPG's with PvP oriented game play.

So, in short, I would like to keep an eye on you all, just in case I decide to head over Warhammers way. Thank you again for the heads up.

A drunkard,
Bashur
