not only does it equate to backpack capacity but its directly related to your hit points. every type of build in UO has no less than 85 str. anything less than this is completely useless build.

a town thief with 100 str would have a nice advantage, he cant take spell damage. a town thief with 25 str, well i just poison him and hes going to die within 2 minutes.

or what if i cast weaken on you? now you have 14 str.. unless your backpack is almost completely empty you wont be able to move anywhere. and the average hally whack does around 30hp dmg.

your thief build should always have 100 str and then you pick from dex or intel depending on what kind of thief, this isnt WoW or some fucking lineage 2 server, thieves need str, everyone needs it.
