Saturday Mining Operation

Hopefully we'll have several miners on, but we'll also need our pvpers on, running around killing rats, watching gates, etc.

yes lol :p we'll have like 0-10 t1 frigs with crappy skills/mods and like 2-3 real ships max... im not sure i dare bring a BS in just yet lol..

you'd probably be a lot more useful in one of those small, quick ships. i idea is not to beat them, but to warn the miners so they can get the fuck out.

Seems like the servers are down. Thats too bad, I had some time this morning to try out my new Bestower (http://eve.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?eveitem=1944). I got it yesterday, and started looking around the market.

I wont be around on Saturday, I have to work, but next time I can bring my Coercer (http://eve.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?eveitem=16236). I've got it fit with: 6 Dual Light Beam Lasers 1s, 2 salvager 1s, afterburner, damage control 1, 2x 50MM reinforced hull (one steel one titanium?), and a armor repair unit

Will this work for anything you're currently doing, planning to do? What type of crystals should I be using with my lazers? How can I improve my armor tank?

I logged into the EVE forums and set up my account. Most of the topics are too advanced for me, but I'll figure it out.

what kind of lasers? not sure, tbh. get the expensive ones, the market decided that price for a reason. (EMP S is the most expensive for a reason, etc).

only bring 1 salvager, if any. don't bring salvagers into pvp, unless you know you are going to win.

also, armor tank: put on the thickest rolled tungsten you can fit, then add some adaptive membranes to get your resists up.

I'd advise skipping some of the tank for a magnetic field stabilixer or two, you wont survive many seconds when you start taking damage in any case... destroyers have frigates weak armor and cruisers large signature radius...
