Current skill plan update:

This will get you started. 95% of the folks here will be following this first PVP Toon plan.

These will keep you busy for the first month, and in some cases, the first 2-3 months. After that, you'll hopefully have figured out exactly what you need to be doing.



PVP Toons:

Racial frigate to 3, Get a couple gunnery skills, but I wouldn't go past 2, 3 at most. Don't spend more than 2 days delaying your learning skills.
Tier 1 learning skills to 4. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Tier 2 learning skills to 3. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Mechanic, Engineering, Racial Frigate to 5.
Tier 2 learning skills to 4.
Depending on what you use, then you'll want gunnery/missile skills.

PVE Toons (you'll likely be playing by yourself):

Tier 1 and 2 learning skills to 4. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Destroyer to 1, Cruiser to 4, Battleships to 3.
Also, split some time into getting your weapon skills.
Empathy 4, Presence 4.
Negotiation skills (I'm not too sure about the order of these).

Hauler/Logistics (best haulers are amarr/gallente):

Tier 1 and 2 learning skills to 4. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Then you'll want to go for a freighter.
Then you'll want to go for a jump freighter.
Open up the market and start working on those skills.

Trade:

Tier 1 and 2 learning skills to 4. Include Empathy/Presence
Trade, Marketing, etc all the way.

Production:

Tier 1 and 2 learning skills to 4. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Industry 5. Mass production, production efficiency to V.
Science 5, Research 5, and then start specializing your research.
This class of folks will have much in the way of specialization, so you'll have to explore where you want to go with it. You'll probably want some Industrial Ship skills to move minerals around to your production sites as well.

Mining:

Tier 1 and 2 learning skills to 4. Don't do Empathy/Presence
Industry 5, Mining 5, Refining 5, Refinery Efficiency 4.
Veldspar/Scordite/Plagioclase/Pyrexores Processing 4.
Then go Astrogeology 3, Mining barge 3, Spaceship Comm 5.
Mining upgrades 4.
Astrogeology 5, Mining barge 5.

no since you move 10 km/year and would have no use in pvp for looting boxes.. the armor just helps you live as you warp the shit out of contact with someone else. What it would take someone 4 minutes to collect in any other ship my badger took 20 minutes or so. I'm getting a caldari industrial ship which is the bustard since I trade in lowsec a lot

hauling. courier missions mixed with whatever deal you can find on the market. The payments are quite shit with these ships compared to the tracking and cargo stealing that moose and others do. Basically a 30 minute jump and trade could be countered by one box you steal in someones mission area

try to get in on "stealing" ops that these guys go on. if you can't do that, look around on the market in other regions to bring stuff back to lonetrek to haul.
