If you know what you are doing you can solo pvp alright in a merlin or a moa (as long as you can accept that you will be running away alot and that you will be getting blown up alot). Better to bring along a mate or two though if you are gonna go around pvpin in frigs and focus on picking off loners.

our first useful ship will be an assault ship. then we'll go rape faces. the whole idea is to get a group of around 5-10 assault ships and find high sec mining corps, war dec them, and take their shit.

besides, we can buy and outfit 10 of these assault frigs with the same money for 1 battleship.

edit: you need just as long to train the skills necessary to make a battleship useful as you do the assault frig.

Make sure your shield skills and missile skills are top notch before moving away form the BC class. If you're properly skilled the Drake can rock, tanks like a mother fucker but does lack somewhat in the dps department.

Missiles are good if you're good, decent skills and ship set up, even more so if you're caldari as Spine is. I always perfered them because i couldn't be arsed with keeping an eye on optimal range etc etc. With missiles you can just sit there and fire.

To get all the 2nd tier learning skills up to level 4 and Engineering & Mechanic and Frigate to level 5 and Assault Ships to 1 it will take.....

42 days 19 hours
Cost: 29 mill

If i stopped getting the learning skills and went straight for the Assault Frigate it would take......

28 days 5 hours
Cost: 4 mill

what the shit does that even mean?

when you die in eve, you lose your ship. you're stuck in a capsule. if your capsule is blown up, then you die and are sent back to where you last saved your clone. everyone gets a clone that protects 900k skill points. if you have over 900k skill points, then you need to upgrade your clone at a station with a medical station. you can get clones that protect up to 139 million skill points, i believe.

I think we should plan a PVP tournament this weekend, capture the flag in the Torrinos system, I did this in EVE University, alot of fun. If people are willing to, I guess stalwart and I could organize it.

Armarr are energy based weapons. You can always get a clue from looking at the Armarr ships and seeing what bonuses are given to you. I know nothing about Armarr PVP so someone else can help you i'm sure.

In general terms, it depends what you want to do as to what weapons you should lean towards.

Zanir, as for you, you need to get a fucking direction and stick with it. You've changed your mind about twenty times the past few days. Think about what interests you:

Laying the smack down with missiles from a distance?

Up close and personal in something like a small assult Frig?

Locking the enemey down with electronic warfare?

Or maybe PVP isn't your bag and you'd prefer mining/industrial kind of thing.

Either way what you have to remember is that anything you want to do in Eve takes time. Alot of time. Don't expect to just choose Electronic warfare and then be in fleet ops being congratulated for all your amazing locking skills the next day. You're either in it for the long haul or Eve isn't for you.

Kestrels look more for pve. But what do I know ive only been playing for a few days.
