I was wondering if anyone has played eq2...

I have been all over the mmo world, my clan has an old degenerate man who is delerious because of the state UO is in (kingdom reborn) and hes been throwing mmos at us for the past few months, mostly free korean ones. Well my clan started an eq2 escapade and i have found i enjoy the game. The pvp may be similar to WoW but the pve is done 10x better than what ive seen in any other game. I spent last night Crafting! being the 1337 pker i am thats a pretty new thing. The quests are at least interesting to some degree, and its the first mmo thats kept me interested in awhile.

So i was wondering what everyones take on the game is. If youd like to try it out theres a fairly short download and 7 day trial on the site. My clan is on Unrest and my name is Darfur. If you want to drop in and say hello that would be great.

EQ2? If I ever play it I'll be sure to look you up... but I don't think you'll really see a lot of support for EQ2 here.

I played EQ2 a couple of times, the furthest I got was a 52 Ratonga Bard, then I just got sick of the grind. Wings of Fawedwun something like that was the latest expansion I got.

I enjoyed the PvE of EQ2, until it became clear that all there was to do at 50 was sit around and kill the same giant monsters day after day(of course they didn't have pvp servers when I played). What is the level cap up to these days, 70? Do you get xp debt when killed in pvp?

Probably won't ever play the game again, but it is interesting to see how it changes over the years.

I imagine after playing it for awhile it may get old. Most games short of excellence do. Right now pvp gives up gold, im not sure about exp. Unrest is a pve server though so i wouldnt know really. Crafting is great though, i hope they implement something like it into niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger.

Regardless Atnas helped me set Rune up, ill look forward to jumping in that soon...

I actually couldn't stand the crafting in EQ2. Things randomly blowing up in your face no matter how much you tried to stop it from happening. I mean, you could practically die while boiling an egg, or sewing a shirt.

I liked Horizons crafting system, or ATITD's crafting, but those games were practically crafting MMO's. Well, ATITD is, Horizons might as well be.

We had an argument about racism at the fire forge tavern and it got so heated between me and Mongo that Morgan decided to delete it, we're kinda bitter about it now.

Like always I forgot about it in 5 seconds. My main debate point now is Penis.

I never died myself. Regardless i dont see that as a solid basis for saying crafting sucks in eq2. Thats like saying, "i boiled these eggs with an electric burner instead of a gas one, so these eggs suck".

The basis for saying that EQ2 crafting sucked was the "things randomly blowing up in your face" part. The fact that you could die or be seriously injured while doing basic menial tasks was just emphasis.
