FYI, mining in torrinos might not be the best idea unless you have the drones to fend off the rats. they can get kind of nasty. head one system over into ibura and they are around 30-40% easier.

You can mine as much or as little as you want but anthing you do you have to give 30% of it to the guild... Missles you make shit you mine isk from missions children you have. You will also have to follow the skill plan you ae given to the letter. Don't want to be an indy hauler? Tough shit... This is srs biz and we don't want you fucking it up. P.S. Don't tell Rougie. The stuff about cans and shit is kinda useless because I'm pretty sure you guys aren't in buttfuck nowhere but there are some good tips about other stuff in there. Especially the warping shit (bookmark an asteroid so you can warp straight there). That will save you so much time.

you can warp to within 0m of asteroid belts now

that puts you in the middle of the ring. you still have to fly 15k or so to get to an asteroid.

It's just easier to bookmark and go to the bookmark if you are planning on mining the same rocks for a while. And those 15K trips do add up over time.

takes a month before you have any skills to be a newbee at PvP.. then another 6 months to a year to be an ok PvP.. .then 2 or 3 years to get enough skills learned for good PvP and 5-10 to be a l33t PvPer

There's really not too much of a difference. Any race can use any race's ships. You lose a little bit of time training those ships, that's about it.

Imo, just look for what kind of role you kinda want to play and pick the race that has ships that fit that.

Fast and guns, slow/missiles/EW, close range/lasers, whatevs.

All the weapons require ammo but lasers I think. And those use crystals for some shit.
