Sidoian Laborer's for the Advancement, Volition and Equality of Society

This should be our working guild title in MO beta. Someone should draw up our charter. The founding member needs a name like Colonel Lionus Saunders and should look like Colonel Sanders.

Our first guild picture should be of colonel sanders sitting down next to naked sidoian women while the rest of us are mining and chopping woods with only padded leggings on.

More epic trolling on MO boards should follow.

I think this is too subtle. The Draculas worked because it was plainly racist for anyone in America, but the Swedish mods and Devs had no idea what the hell was going on. I was particularly happy with my first count name; Count Jiggaboo.

We should make another guild though, but one that just ever so slightly more obvious and racist. But not too much!

I really like The Draculas, so much I wish I had some sort of piece of clothing with that etched onto it all stylistic and shit. Count Mikee COMIN' AT YA! Or perhaps Count Octojinks.

Niggertude is the backup plan, and should be the launch plan. We will mug every white man and rape every white woman until the world kneels at the feet of its nigger masters, who kneel at the feet of the almighty Colonel Sanders, The Great Provider Of All Chicken.

In a way i'm glad he did. He did it at the peak of all of the activity and It kinda made us overnight stars in a community where we could have used the PR. I can bet my bottom dollar we're liked both as SOTA and The Draculas by more people after that stunt than we were just as SOTA beforehand.

Now that this game has been out for awhile, what do you guys think of it? Do you still have high hopes for it? If so, why?

Still very much a beta. Harvesting is 10x faster than niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger at least, and you can't carry 10 zillion ore at a time, which makes macroing more difficult. Crafting isn't really implemented yet (still give shit to a vendor and he makes it for you) but the system is fairly in depth, materials have their own values, so spongewood is very light but deals low damage and isn't very durable, firmwood is heavy but is durable, ect. You can also use different materials for the different parts of the weapon. You can use just about everything for materials, though some are obviously better than others.

Crafting costs are pretty low, you can harvest the material for a weapon in a couple of minutes depending how close the bank and the node are to each other, a full suit of armor is about 10x the cost of a weapon but still doable in 30-40 minutes depending on luck, I imagine that time will only decrease with organized mining and when people get more stats so they can carry more ore.

Taming, riding and housing have recently been added. Taming is UO style, walk up to a critter and /tame it 10 billion times until it actually works, gotta start small with weasel wrangling then you can move up to taming pigs, gazelles, and such, then you can tame horses. How well an animal is tamed is reflected by how likely an animal is to desert you if you don't feed it.

Oh yeah, if your riding skill isn't high and the horse doesn't like you it'll buck you off a lot. And when you get bucked, you get bucked FAR.

As far as houses go, they cost 15k wood, stone, and metal plus a chunk of change for the blueprint (not sure if this will be changed to player made blueprints in the future). Doesn't take too terribly long to put one up. You can place them virtually anywhere from what I've seen, and they are COMPLETELY destructable. I broke a partially built house with a niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger mining macro and a noobie weapon. They gain HP as you put more resources into them depending on what kinds of resources you use, I ran into some of them partially built with a few hundred thousand HP, which is enough to deter random people from leveling homes. As for their advantages, they can be locked, you can kill people on your property (a small area around the house I believe) without going grey, and they have a storage chest.

In the future they plan to add torches and compasses wurm style.

I guess I'm kind of biased because I preordered and everything but, seeing them patch every two weeks has been pretty encouraging. That and the fact that they already have and attribute cap and a skill cap in place, means they are definitely headed in the right direction.
