-Servers fairly stable now, but can still use improvements, not too big a deal as everything stands now.
-No new major mechanics to test. Or stuff for those mechanics to be tested on.

HoN crashes more often for me than mortal does and it's more of a pain in the ass when it does.

And no ones playing it because there isn't really anything too do. Although i think they added magic. Has one tried magic yet?

There is a lot riding on MO not being a fuck up. If they fuck up, I believe it will be a long time before we see some decent investors willing to pump enough money into a company to make a good game in that same genre.

Edit: Also I will fucking cum even when I'm an 80 year old lobotomized shell of a man if I can get into a game with VR and territorial control that works. Fuck, the VR isn't even needed. Just a game like MO with working territorial control.

The point is that they're on the fence. So far they've not given any reason to that the game will be anything less than good, but the actions they've spent so far show they're struggling. When people are giving it their all like these guys seem to there is always the chance that one thing big enough can go wrong and the all their popularity will come back and hit them in the face ruining everything else with it.

Basically I guess I could just say that they walking on a wire and so far, they're still on it.

I am not sure. The problem is that they have no paid testers, and there really isn't much to do in the MO world except for crashing and staring on dicks. Who wants to test that? Q4 now seems way too early unless a big patch comes soon, which I don't know if it's likely or not since I have not followed patch development.

I agree, at their current rate of development Q4 is way too early. Maybe they're sitting on the release client inhouse and we're just testing the backend stuff for them right now, such as server load etc etc but i'm doubtful.

I'm SURE this will be a good game, it's just way off into 2010 before it will get there.

The problem as I see it is that fans can't see the phase they are going in. It's pretty obvious that their strategy is to implement ALL big stuff before going into smaller stuff (while getting some small stuff out of the way as well, such as that random road from Fabernum). For example, right now their main concern is to get everything working, that is: Bank system that doesn't fuck up once in a while, working magic that actually work, no fatal errors due to stupid stuff (like the footstep sound going into an eternal loop crashing the game) and etc.

The problem with this strategy is that it seems they aren't doing any work at all, it seems there are no new content at all and all their "fixes" don't really fix anything useful. Right now, the game is not made for being played, it's made for testing. I do agree though that there is fucking nothing to test the day after the new patch is released.

In order to keep players testing the game and not loosing potential future customers to a fag game like HoN, I think they should change their marketing strategy a little and add some "easy to add" content. Because really, in their current situation, losing customers is a real no-no.

Until they fix these easy to add (and hopefully fun) contents, I see no point in logging in more than once each patch. I'll just go play some other game until they sort things out. Any game but HoN.
