The site for the Beta Twitter is little more than a lit LED that goes Green when up and Red when off. This way it always tells you when it's up, less than 1 sentence discribtion of what it's up for, if it's down and when they plan on getting back up. Example, the last few notes from Twitter for the Beta Server:

-Going to sleep..Next server boot 9-10 hours (about 4 hours ago)
-Login-server taken down for debugging (about 4 hours ago)
-Booted cap raised to 2200 (about 4 hours ago)
-Booting with cap of 2000 (max nr of logins) (about 5 hours ago)
-Server up with ai-off (about 5 hours ago)
-taking server down, updating with a build without AI (about 5 hours ago)
-Server is going up and down due to the crazy server stress! Please be Patient!!! (about 5 hours ago)
-B Block should now be able to login (about 6 hours ago)

Tuesday night and i finally get a chance to login and i guess the server is down or capped or some other lame shit.

What are you talking about? The Twit says it's not going to come back up for another 1.5-2.5 hours from now.
I have yet to see the character screen more than once since they started everything. Between my work schedule and them being in fucking GMT+1/2 and keeping the server up only during working hours over there I get fucked in the ass. I finally got my schedule moved around so I have the next week or so to try and get in so I see how everything works.
