While there are some inaccessible mountain ranges to make the world bigger, from my experience what you see is what you get.

I may be mistaken, but a SS I have looks like it's a view from the opposite side of the lake in Goobles SS.

Because you can already see beautiful mountains in the distance and run to them, as long as they are ~10 minutes away. It would only be logical to assume that the rest are just the same. Trust us, this game's environment is freakishly good looking. The sky effects will blow you away too.

No one will ever deride this game because of looks. I don't understand how they so seamlessly worked in far-off terrain, but they are geniuses in that department.

They definitely made good use of some sort of distance blur to help. Looks good for sure. A nice haze.

The sky effects only look impressive because they're HDRish. I haven't seen it in game yet (stupid server cap) but in all the pictures it just looks like fancy lighting

I've only made it in once since the first night, and that lasted about 30 seconds before I got dumped out.

Would be nice to get in and check it out, but shit I can't seem to. Characters were gone, figured wiped. Got a new one (finally) now it never shows up. So another wipe or just not connecting for real... Who the fuck knows.

Thee most you can do in game is boxing/ slashing with starter axes and run around. I died to invisible people a few times but fighting is nice and real time feeling right now. not hackfest like DF and not too slow to be boring.

I really like the spirit world concept after you die. I think alot of crybabys are going to bitch about this because if you are far out in the middle of nowhere, you might be traveling for a while to find a priest/statue to revive yourself. I think it will make a very nice realistic feel to fighting in groups and sieging - and no gay naked zerg rushing to an extent. If you are seiging where there is a priest right next to town, then not so much but then they stated a naked player will be owned and not tocuh a person with decent gear.

So far -

Pros:
Impressive Scenery
Swimming looks great
fighting is at a decent pace - could even get slightly faster thoguh
Nudity - and it flaps around!!!
somewhat solution to naked zerging

Cons:
Server hardware feels inadequeate. Invisible people.
Login server has minimal security setup. I was able to log in twice and play with both of my created characters in two instances.

Have not been able to get in much like everyone, but the game should be considered a technical closed beta for now, and I cringe to say beta because it can almost be termed a late alpha by some standards.

I think with some server optimizations from the logs they should be gathering this week will help them get a handle on the current login issues, but I do not think the server will be stable the first week of each new block invite.

A lot to do but it is very promising.

Oh, also if you really want to be determined to get in, and you have alot of RAM, you can launch multiple instances of the game and see if you can catch a login slot.

Last night I loaded 20 copies up and was able to get one in game, only to crash when trying to close out of the other instances.

you guys should edit out any screen names from all the pictures. We dont want MO to fuck us with the NDA THAT IS STILL IN EFFECT because we didnt read something somewhere. Dont risk getting banned in game IMO. If the pictures arent editied by tomorrow, im taking them down until to OP edits them. I dont want anyone to lose their account because of stupidity. Although, they would probalby deserve it.

Of course it just looks like fancy lighting. Lighting is pretty much the most important part of making things look nice. You could make a crappy piece of armour and with good lighting (and textures) it would looks like a very realistic piece of crappily made armour :P

I'd just like to point out that the quality is lower in the pictures, because of JPEG formatting, to keep filesizes down

As I've been running around the whole day today exploring, I can say that this map is not very accurate.

For instance, I didn't see any walking dead near Meduli, nor did I find Razorbacks. I did find a shit ton of Wisents though. The priests location seems accurate enough.

I also found DomesticPigs (which isn't even mentioned) and another flock of Wisents near Khurite City 2. I doubt the map has this city in the correct place.

I also doubt the distance between Fabernum to Meduli. Which means that the scale of the map probably isn't correct.

Overall: The map looks good, but is good for nothing. (Also, it has no Terror Birds or wolves put on the map, so why bother showing that "this dot is that thing".)

Oh yeah, I found some DireWolfs, have no fucking idea where I was at that time though. Bitches hit for 40 and can take more than 4x43 damage. They also looks like horses from a long distance.

At first I thought this cave/house was kind of epic, but then I noticed you can walk through it. There was no minotaurs there either. After walking around that area for awhile, the weight bug got me (a bug that makes you unable to move). Beta suicided to a priest who ressed me. Couldn't move after this though so I thought I would train my sword skill on the priest for awhile until it hopefully fixed itself. Bitch had at least 500 life and kept respawning.

I learned a valuable lesson today: If you don't turn your eyes from the dead body, it will stay there forever. Could be good to know.

No, just throw everything out from your inventory (I've heard it only works if you put it in the spot in the lower right corner) and relog. At least that worked for me last time this happened (took a day for me to relog though). Don't play on that character anymore though, as it's skills weren't working properly.

Apparently, the cause of this is that you actually HAVE more than you can carry, but the server recognizes it in a strange way. Right now you can actually run around with 16k ore on you, even though the weight indicator says you can have a maximum of maybe 400. But somehow, when changing zones it starts recognizing the new weight. I think it has to do with node connections.

So since they enabled loot, I was able to actually get some mats for armor. Took about an hour total to get all pieces and weapon, all made out of Nyx, and I have enough Tungsteel to make almost two more sets. Set includes Helmet, torso, legs, right/left shoulder, right/left sleeves, right/left glove, boots.
