Alright, it is with great excitement and honor that Frostreaver Clan is announcing the first ever Mortal Online Age of Chivalry (http://www.age-of-chivalry.com/) Tournament. Many of the guilds in the community have been playing this game, and FRC has decided to organize a tournament to promote some fun competition between guilds. FRC has rented and is running a dedicated Age of Chivalry server for this very competition that we will be able to use for the sole purpose of community exhibition and tournament play.
May 16th - May 17th
8/16 team slots (Depending on demand)
10 players per team
Match Win = Cause 100 deaths to the opposing team in 30 minutes
Friendly Fire = On
Map = aoc_valley
Sign Ups: To sign up for the tournament, either post here, or get in touch with myself or Maleficarus. Guild's that sign up for the tournament have the option to participate in exhibition/practice games prior to the start of the tournament. Any time from the moment you sign up to when the tourney starts. These are impromptu, you can setup an exhibition/practice game within your own guild or with other tournament participants any time you wish prior to the tournament. Only requirement is that you realize that there will possibly be other clans using the server when you join or joining the server while you are there. Make sure to be as accommodating as possible.
Competition System: The tournament will follow a bracket system. With each team being assigned brackets in the order they sign up for the tournament. In order to win you must be the team with the least deaths at the end of the match. Matches are to 100 deaths and have a upper timelimit of 30 minutes. The tournament is based on valley and deathmatch due to the time issue that using objective maps bring when you have only one server to work with. Every team that wins, moves on to the next match, those that lose do not and are out of the tournament. In order to be crowned champion, a guild must successfully play 4 matches. In total though there will be, depending on participants, 15 matches counting all the games.
Prizes: Ah yes, the major driving force behind any tournament. "What do I win?!" We have several prizes in store for the winners.
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/stewker/MR.jpg (http://www.themortalrealm.com/) has agreed to offer advertising space to any Mortal Online specific guild that wins the tournament. The space will be allotted during the weekend of Mortal's launch. You get awesome advertising for your guild covering the entire background of a major Mortal Online Fansite!
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/stewker/bannerflag.png (http://www.frostreaver.com/)is offering as a prize a free copy of Mortal Online to be given out to the MVP of the winning team! Who doesn't like free stuff?! Frostreaver really loves this community and this is only our small way of saying thank you back. Get out there and make your team proud!
More prizes to be announced soon!
Server Information:
IP Address: 74.63.54.118:27015
Hostname: [FRC] - Age of Chivalry 20 - NY
Total Slots: 20 Slots
Server Location: New York, New York, USA
The server has a password that will be given out to those guilds that join up for the tournament. They can use this server for practice rounds prior to the tournament and to get a feeling for any ping issues your members may have. FRC has had the chance to test this server and I can say that many of our members are reporting excellent ping times. Some have had pings of 20ms or less! The choice of an extreme east coast server was done to facilitate and accommodate as much as possible, players playing from the Americas as well as from Europe. Granted European players may experience higher pings than American players but this placement is much better than say west coast or mid-west America. Hopefully most European players will enjoy acceptable pings in their play and matches.
We have time to get reaquainted with the game. It has undergone MAJOR rehaul. I've been playing it these past two days and haven't lost my halberd touch. Feels like the 2handed sword got blaanced actually. The spears are insanley killer if they hit. New levels and older levels streamlined. UI overhaul. I always liked this game so I am biased. Post here, if there is interest to get into this, if we get 10 good peeps let us sing up. If not then let us play a few games anyway, whatthe fuck else are you going to play, niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger? All subclans of Anvil welcome and if you were on the original dream team then consider this.
