DF forums down?

I just reformatted, and when I try to connect to DF forums it gives me a database error.

Are they rebuilding it or is it my problem?

Evidently I forgot to reinstall the Java runtime environment. It works now.

The forums were down for the better part of the day due to the database server going offline. JRE shouldn't even affect a damned thing, I don't think I even have it installed... I hate java.

yeah, you can. the runtime takes up like 20 fucking megs of memory too. you can shut off the service if you want, and just keep the files in case you need them sometime... but if you want to uninstall it i'm pretty sure it's in the add/remove programs.

mmorpg.com has that problem a lot. i think it fixed itself last time it did that to me, can't remember what the problem was. mime types with the browser maybe.
