Hello DBC,
Before I made my current character Rougie Whitefall, I was originally apart of SoTA, as a Dwarf named Rougie Rouge. I deleted that character, because it didn't work out so well for me, and I think I rushed into the whole idea of getting into a clan, just so that I could group up with my friends Ocoma and Ximi of SoTA. I thought that maybe I could fit into the SoTA play style of gatherer/crafter, and that maybe I could play as a 'tank' type of character, despite my heavy background of playing rogues/archers/assassins. Pathetically, I only managed to last three days before I could take it no more, and had to abort the Dwarf :stabbed:
Thanks go to Moose of DBC, who unknowingly convinced me that DBC is the right clan for me, and convinced me to delete my Dwarf and restart. It was his example (when I grouped with him and some others, to do the Kobold quest) that influenced my decision the most, because the simple fact is, he was having way more fun than I was, and I could have been having that too, had I stuck with my roguish play style; a playstyle that is more coherent with DBC's general ethos, than any of the other clans in the Anvil Society.
I've already mentioned some things about me, in my SoTA introduction, which I don't think I need to reiterate here - http://forums.anvilsociety.com/showthread.php?t=4928 - except that this time, I will be playing like I've played in all mmogs before DF, ie. uber-roguish :grrr: and I'll be a much freer and happier player, as a result.
