So, my buddy set out on an adventure to go spanging just for fun, because of a conversation that came up between us. Him and his friend started off spanging anywhere from underaged kids to middle-aged women, as a result in about 2 hours of wandering and holding hands out, they earned up to 70 dollars, not only through the means of begging but also buying liquor for said teenagers, and spitting hustle stories to old ladies.

At the end of the night they bought a gator offa me.

All in all, good ol' drunken begging time, too bad I wasn't there.

Spanging?

Is that like, pretending to be a vietnam veteran who lost his sight or something?

begging has nothing to do with your sense of dignity provided you look at it from a different perspective. for instance, when i was homeless i never begged for shit. i scrounged around like a filthy drunken macguyver and with some degree of ingenuity i was able to get by just fine. however, on the occassions where my plans for greatness fell through, simply stealing food from outdoor restaraunts or tricking people into paying for some meals actually made me feel far more pride than working 9-5 in retail ever did.

"i scrounged around like a filthy drunken macguyver" should be our slogan.

Tricking someone to pay for your meal does have that amount of ownage comparing it to begging is impossible.

I just noticed that the hello forum, public forum and DBC forum are all viewable by anyone. The others aren't. Does this mean that our forum ain't worthy enough?

well, begging is like a tool. it is one part of your arsenal of trickery. honest begging is rather disgraceful, you might as well mewl like a newborn kitten. however, using begging as a way to trick others is a skill that requires a lot of time and effort to build. and in that sense, i consider it an artform as valid as any. btw, macgyver is 100% pwn. i recommend giving him honorary beggar status based on this pic alone.

I asked Surly to make this section of the forum viewable by everyone, including unregistered users. I figure it's a good way to give potential recruits and the general public a good idea of what we're all about. Hence the occasional editing of Mongo's racial slurs.
