However, i am from EU and obviously would need an EU clan as i would not enjoy having to migrate to the NA servers.

We're rolling on the EU servers, then most likely moving to the US if/when they go live. Theres plenty of Europeans that will be in the same position as yourself though. I don't think it will have an effect from what i hear.

Obviously we'd prefer the EU server but the NA ones probably have a lot of rubbish players and furries...

So it all evens out in the end.

If there is a Eastern US or UK server, we will most likely move there. Word on the street is that ping doesn't effect gameplay much, so the move will be based entirely on which server is the most fun.

Really, I suggest that if the server location is a big enough issue to you than you should just sit back, wank off for a few weeks and wait for Adventurine to announce their pushing back the launch date. At this point many people will 1) Rage 2) Spew 3) Not Care or 4) Be All Around Emo. I would, again, suggest to take the time to wank yourself some more while you wait for DF and discover where the servers will be.

During launch you can also try creating a character on a fuckofffaraway server from you, something in Aussie for instance, and play there for a whole 10-30 minutes to test how much of an effect that lag as on you personaly. That way you may attest for yourself weither or not the greater portion of DF's current Beta Testers are telling you bullshit or not when they say that whatever ping a player may have it has little to no effect on game play.

At this point, there is really no difference between joining a guild prior to launch as it is post-launch. Unless of course you wish to join for the sole benefit of the personalities and various degrees of joy one would achieve by servicing said personalities in gruesome sexually abhorrent practices.
