Phone service didn't work, emailed my relatives to do it for me. I made up a story that my flight was delayed blah blah, and got a receptionist to print me out some nice looking documents as proof that I got transfered to a new flight. So, I think, other than the pain of having to talk to my warrant officer, I'll be okay. There's really not much they can do to me anyways, lol.

Or maybe I should just transfer my flight to go on a vacation to Venice?

Yeah when I went to my first duty station in the Navy, my flight got cancelled and I got stuck at the Navy base in Philly. There I was told that they were working on it and that I should not get involved. They stuck me in some work detachment shoveling snow and clearing ice off the side walk. This was NOT what I joined the Navy to do so I started asking questions and finally got to the right people and they sent me on my way. The petty officer in charge of the work detachment was pissed as hell but he couldnt do anything.
