I have found WaR to be loads better than WoW so far. I have not found myself getting bored or feeling a need to start grinding. Hopefully it stays that way.
I have high hopes for this game. Still, its all getting ditched when DF comes out XD

I'm really hoping it wont turn out shit. Im worrying a lot about gold sellers tho. theyre gonna be a big problem seein as its gonna be complete looting.
I can see it now, an army of gold farmers just wanting to loot you so they can sell your stuff.
Unless theyre gonna make gold less valuble (fuck knos how theyre gonna do that tho).

I don't think you understand gold farming at all, and why it plagues other MMOs.

Also I played WARHAMMMER ONLINE, AGE OF RECKONING , and it was midly fun for a week or two while drunk , but now its boring. And it wont let me log in. I think its broked.

There's got to be a way to identify gold farmers before they sell to you.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to identify them beforehand? Once they are identified, they are toast always in my opinion. They can't just go on and level up and go about their business like they can in WoW. They'll be KOS.

I don't see goldsellers being such a big problem in DF. The risk vs reward isn't the same. In any standard MMO 1 guy can log in for a few hours and farm nonstop in safety and end the day with a nice fat purse. In DF that same guy not only risks losing everything he's gained from farming at any moment, but he's going to have to constantly spend money re-equiping each time he dies. Plus with dynamic mob spawns the farmer will have to spend more time then in other games just finding a good spot to farm. Another disadvantage they will face is SCS. They will need to invest time in skilling up there toon to be effective at faming, once that toon becomes known as a farmer players will constantly be ganking them. That means they need to re-invest time in a newly named toon to stay obscure. While I do expect there to be some gold selling/farming going on...I just don't see it getting to the level it is in other games.

i played the beta for this game about 6 months...then the actual game for about a month and a half...when u get to 40...(which doesnt take long)...u dont have a lot of fun things..

Had a Dwarf Iron breaker...lvl 40...and a dwarf engi...level 24...

The PvP was alright...but very pointless in my opinion...only way to have fun was to play in true dwarf fashion ...drunk

Beta tested as well...gameplay is slooooooow. Also no 1 shots in PvP...Bottom line: didn't enjoy the gameplay. If you like auto-attack and the click and wait fest that has become the norm these days in mmos then by all means go ahead. Otherwise I'd skip it.

I'm playing WAR, been off it for about 2 weeks now, but it's pretty fun imho. Just not like DFO and I can't wait till it comes out so I can burn WAR and kill the first erson who thinks we are allies cause we are same race!
