I've been playing on this emulator since December, best PVP I've ever consistantly had.

http://www.pwnedemu.com/

Also not sure what will happen to exp rate once kunark is released, EXP is set to be tuned down big time from 50-60, as right now with the know-how, you can level a character to 50 in a day NP Powerleveling. Considering there are several dungeons you could level from 50-55 or so in oldworld, I'd definitely join up now and level before they get a nerf, if your planning on joining.

PROS:

Two active accounts per IP: You can twbox to level.
GREATLY INCREASED EXP RATE: I two boxxed to 50 in a week or so.
Everquest, awesome MMO IMO
Classic Contet, Kunark being released soon.
PVP
No instanced Zones
World PVP is the only PVP
Tuned for PVP Balance, resists aren't as whacky as live.
Very high population for an emulator server.

*Some* Custom content, the big names are still Cazic Thule/Innoruuk/Naggy/Vox/Phinny, but there are a few raid mobs with exceptional items

Guildbased PVP, no cross teaming.
Limited rulebase: Essentially no corpse camping, training, or rez killing. Otherwise you can pretty much PVP anywhere, anytime(even these rules are going to change with kunark)

Freaking Active Staff, they patch at least 2-3 times a month, most classes can 1v1 eachother fairly.

Great Anti-Hack programs running, all hackers are banned very quickly, don't plan on using these if you were going to!

CONS

Limited PVP at certian hours, Evening hours Eastern Standard are busiest, early morning EST is lowest population

Item loot was removed several months back, there is a leaderboard however /shrug

It is a gear dependant game.

Some people are just....strange

Anyway check it out if your interested, you'll need to download EQ Titanium but their forums should have a good run through on how to get it going, if not, post here ill hook up a legit link.

Am I going to need to pay anything at all?
If not, I may be interested.

I would be all over this like AIDS if SoTA decide to play this.

Infact.... relatively speaking, the aids virus isn't too hardy. It dies pretty quick when it comes in contact with Air (thus you could never get it off the toilet seat). Hep B on the other hand will survive pretty well comparatively speaking. So with that in mind. I'd be all over this game like Hep B.

You heard it from Riddle first, kids.

If you get the AIDs, just inject a little air into your blood stream and problem solved!

waaaaaait a cotton pickin second. I meant before it's in your blood stream.

I do some work in Virology labs and on machines used to verify Sexually transmitted infections. Aids is the least of your worries in terms of the likelyhood of contracting it off the machines.

Thanks for the late advice dick!
I could have blown some air in Kaeso's ass hole to kill the AIDS before it infected me.

Yeah, I knew about that one.
Kaeso didn't appear to like it to much but I wasn't too sure wether it was pain or joy due to the handcuffs and the muffle-ball in his mouth.

It's free. Download EQ Titanium, don't patch to live....

http://www.eqemulator.net/main.php

Once you connect to the emulated log-in server, you can take your pick of PVE servers...Or you can join VZTZ/ PVP Server. Fast Exp, fun PVP. I pretty much dominate with my monk/shaman combo, of course the guild vs guild combat is fierce as well. Classes are VERY balanced, unless you make some retarded combo like bard/rogue or cleric/cleric you will be able to compete effectively in PVP.

There are quite a few differences from oldschool EQ from the class balancing, but it's better as a result. All spells are bought, not researched for oldworld. With Kunarks release you will have to loot the spells off mobs.

This seems interesting, too bad I don't have time for gaming atm.

Know of any private niggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggerniggernigger servers?

no item loot = no point

Well Item loot was in on the server for a long time. It did get carebeared down, but I dont say that about every game I play, since obviously very few, if any have item loot. If you can get past the item loot incentive it's an enjoyable game with lots of big egoed pvpers, yes gear does matter to a point but planar armor and resist gems are easily acquired. Anyway I'm not here to argue pros and cons of item loot, just some PVP for people who like to pvp.

I have never played EQ in any form. I might take this chance to do some guildy bonding.

I was about to download it yesterday, but the installer's estimated time said 10 hours, 26 minutes and 57 seconds. I've already got World of Warcraft installed on my computer, and don't want to go through another four hours of installation. Are you guys sure EQ is worth it? If so, i'll drop WoW immeadiately (can't stand then community and constant grind) and switch.

Of course EQ isn't worth it, silly question.

1-50, super fast leveling rate. The community isn't more mature, however the players exhibit self control in that there isn't constant begging and leet speak. Most guilds require ventrillo so communication is solid. I've had a few awesome PVP battles, most notably a 15 vs 15, where our opponents had to swim through a hole in a iced over river in Everfrost to reach us in a mountain cave where we were waiting at the waterline, complete ownage.

Did I mention Kunark is 'set' to release in three days? My monk is set to fight to the death for Fungi Tunic, Tranquill Staff, and even the legendary Ton Po's Bo Staff is going to be put in. I mean I just threw this link out for the guild for aficiando's of the series, if you haven't tread waters here before you might not enjoy it, for those who have, you will find it a very satisfying server.

Wouldn't it have been easier to meet in EC tunnel?
