On a second thought, I'm just gonna go outside.
On a second thought, I'm just gonna go outside.
Going outside? In Finnland? Outside into the eternal, freezing darkness? You must be really desperate.

I made my own short track. It's kind of fun and fairly well balanced for my first track.
"How can a race track be well balanced?" you ask. It's a split course. At the beginning of the race you can choose from two directions: low/left and high/right. Low is easier and takes about 35 seconds to reach the first checkpoint, while high requires notably more acrobatics to survive and reach the checkpoint in around 32 seconds. The high comes with the risk of flipping your car by jumping too short or too high, or going off the track... either way you'd have to restart at the beginning while low took the long/safe way. After the first checkpoint the course is the same for high and low. My best time so far is 1 minute and 32 seconds.
Note: I was going to attach the map, but I can't find it! Where the hell are custom tracks saved to?
Find me in-game if you want to play, I guess. Name's Zieen of course.

Windows has this directory for your personal files, but I don't have a clue what it is called in the original English version. Anyways, find it and check for a Trackmania directory.
Also I want you to check my track which I uploaded to our FTP server.

Yeah, my score saved with the track is really bad, my best one is actually about 8 seconds faster (8 seconds in total, not per lap).
I'm looking forward to testing some of you guys' tracks.

I found the Trackmania program directory, which has the default maps, and the all users application data, which only has scores and cache. Can't find an actual map anywhere.

You're looking in the wrong place. You need to check that weird windows-specific user directory which usually appears next to your drives. I don't have a clue what it is called in the English Windows version, maybe "personal files" or "my data" or "my documents" or "porn and shit", I really don't know. C'mon, you know which directory I mean. Trackmania puts another directory into that where it saves all your custom stuffs.

OMG.... My Documents. I thought you guys were talking about Application Data or Local Settings....
Who uses My Documents anymore? crazy. My track is attached.

You know, you should put signs before unexpected turns and insta-fail jumps. Jumping into an entirely wrong direction simply tends to be frustrating.
Nice idea with the "balanced" thing though.

I kind of put those in there for added difficulty. I might put signs on the hard angle jumps.
