A friendly hello to you all. Apparently, I answered all the questions correctly on the application, as it was accepted. I used my DFO Forum screen name for simplicities sake.

About me: I'm 31 years old (an old fuck) wife and a child. I've played MMO's for many years, but am a huge FPS, and RTS fan. My first computer was a Tandy, followed by an Apple IIE, First console system was an atari 2600. My current game is EVE Online, but I'm going to dump that once DFO comes out. In EVE my main thing is market manipulation, and I hope to bring that ability to DFO for the good of this clan. Dwarfs love gold.

Hobbies outside of gaming: Anything to do with law. I once aspired to be an attorney, but women and work got in the way.

Heh like I said I'm old. The first computer game I played was on a Tandy computer. A skiing game that ran off a cassette tape. They didn't have floppy disks back then that I can remember, just the big 8 inch floppy's

And yes I am currently playing a Korean MMO beta with a item mall and sexy santa's! I forbid myself from ever touching WoW again, I should probably sell the account but I'm too lazy and this game is completely free, damn near horrible but slightly addicting in it's simplicity.

Yes I know, it's a no thinking, click and number press game that relates more to 12yr olds with their parents credit cards type of game. But it's filling the time since I've already gotten bored with sniping people in COD and CS although they are still fun. I have no interest to prove to the denizens of the server I happen to be on that I'm not cheating.

Besides my wife finds it fun and easy so that equates to more game time for me. :wink:

Back when WoW was new my ex, who still was my girlfriend at that time, pushed me to play WoW with her. But not even that kept me playing longer than for a month.

Still, I have to admit the first 20 lvls or so were pretty fun. But then it got boring pretty quick.

Nope just time consuming, repetitive, mind numbing bullshit! It's everything that made WoW horrible only upside is that it has nudity and it's free.

It was released in Korea and other Asian regions a while back about a year I think and just recently beta was released for the English speaking peoples of the world(N. America, Europe, Australia). The translations are horrible, some times even down right wrong. Quest givers will tell you to go west when in fact your supposed to go east and the names of places, items and mobs change depending where you look, I.E. map, quest, actual item/place.

Some of the skills won't work on certain mobs with no explainable reason or at all for that matter. Bad geometry in general, you get stuck on flat surfaces, textures don't line up at all. Geometry your not supposed to be able to climb, you do. Event sounds are bugged as are monsters that appear that shouldn't and can't be hit and just show a zero health. Camera clipping is horrible, no variation in characters save for a few things which don't make that much of a difference considering all the armor for a specific level is the same save for a name change and some minor stats.

Like I said it's probably the worst game I've played EVER, yet it's simplicity is somehow refreshing and addictive. It's good for a month or two tops of playing then I'll probably move on to something else.
