Edit: I'm also trying to find another fighting clip with Jackie Chan in it, he's alone against an army and even though he kicks ass he dies in the end. What's the movie called?

I just downloaded 22 gigs of quality anime, but after watching those I'll just download all his movies listed here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Chan) in a Jackie Chan movie marathon.

I've never seen any of his movies where he's the only main character (Rush Hours and those westerns had him as a buffoon who can't speak English properly, and yea that round the world in 80 days wasn't good either).

If you haven't seen Jacke Chan in an awesome movie, then you better check out Drunken Master 1, preferably with the original speech and english/finnish subtitles. It's a fucking badass movie since he's using the drunken style to fight! It was also his breakthrough movie.

Yeah, that fight scene was pretty incredible. The movie is goofy as all hell though. The plot is something about Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao owning a food stand and somehow getting involved with gangsters. Also Sammo Hung was in it somewhere? It was a whole lot of WTF, but it had some awesome choreography.

Another goofy ass Chan movie with some great fight scenes is The Myth. It's a pretty recent movie, and Jackie's old now so there are more special effects than kung fu. But check out this fight scene, it's EPIC:

While drunken master is an awesome movie, It -does- fail on the drunken style moves. He drinks a lot, but then he mostly just fights normally. Especially his dodges are failboat.

And I know Surly is one of those buttfuck load of underwear mishappenings known as the mods. But none of them seem to resemble Surly, maybe he's hiding his identity. The only one that acts like Surly is Brannoc.

This is definitely one of the best modern kung fu movies to date. There's a big theme of Japanese vs Chinese, so you get to see all sorts of styles clash. Go see it!

While I'll agree the style of the 8 drunken gods is win by default, I'm not really trying to compare the two. Drunken Master was from the late 70s, and that style of kung fu movie is pretty much extinct. Now most of the movies coming out of Hong Kong have pop-stars and good editing instead of actually talented people who don't whiten their teeth. But for a modern movie, Fist of Legend has few to compare to.

Come to think of it, both movies are directed by Yuen Wo Ping. Just look at how much he changed his style in 20 years. Anyways, I'd much rather watch Jackie Chan than Jet Li, even though his kung fu isn't even in the same league. He's just a much better entertainer.
