Drunken Beggars in Ultima Online

Kaeso and I were playing UO tonight. We both started thief characters and commencing begging players for money. Kaeso, unlike me, lacks finesse. He needs to learn the finer points of begging - such as not doing it while riding on top of a mount.
Unfortunately, most people at Britain bank are afk. Some spammers ran up to us and assaulted us with messages such as "WOUDL U LIKE TO BUY A BEETLE?!", so we assaulted them back with "Please give up alms, kind sir!" Anyways, the bank would make a great place for thieving in later times.

I plan to make my character into an uber mad skillz treasure-chest looter with:

Lockpicking
Magery
Hiding
Stealth
Snooping
Stealing
Eval Int

I'll run around in the shadows in dungeons, avoiding pkers and monsters alike, and loot those juicy chests, then stealth out with my mad skillz.

If anyone wants to join us (like Caser), you're welcome too. Once we've compiled enough money by begging, we'll buy a house and form the Drunken Beggar Clan, Ultima Online branch. :guns:

This'll force Red Morgan to play, so he can enforce his position of Beggar Kind down upon us. We're playing on UOGamers: Hybrid.

It is gathering names to ban pictures with surprising penises, but still allowing subtle appearing penises.

zanzibar,, ppl like free shards for pvp cuz officials dont have it anymore.
but just cause free shards still have open pvp and looting,doesnt mean theyre like old style uo

ea nor runuo shards can come near early uo atmosphere,so dont expect it when u log on... its more like counterstrike:UO now for free shards and osi is like playing a handheld version of WoW

but if u try hard enough u can still find ways to have fun every now and then.:thumb:

All I really meant as far as "who plays there" being a major factor in the goodness of a free-server is that when I played UO, the thing that made it so great was the community of people who played there. It was all about interacting with other people; so if there aren't many people on a server or the people that there are suck, it's not going to be fun to play there.

I just took the thing in the first post. Hybrid. Running around with a mage character to see what's what. Seems like a good number of people in Britain, though.
